Set a title's synopsis, categories, cast, ratings, tags and SEO fields in one place, and the same values feed search, recommendations and your listings in search engines.
Vodlix metadata management is how a title becomes findable. Every film, series and channel carries a synopsis, categories, cast, maturity and rating levels and free tags, all entered on one form in the CMS. Those values are not decoration: platform search reads them, the genre rows and More Like This lists are built from them, and both the title page and its search engine listing are rendered from them. For an OTT operator, the quality of the metadata sets the ceiling on how much of the catalogue viewers ever see.
Synopsis, categories, cast, ratings and tags.
A meta title and description per title.
Search inside the platform, and outside it.
Every title in Vodlix has its own SEO Settings tab holding a meta title and a meta description, with the recommended lengths shown beside each field. What you write there becomes the title page's page title and meta description, its Open Graph and Twitter card, and the VideoObject structured data that search engines and AI assistants read. One film can therefore rank for the terms viewers search for it by, rather than for your platform name alone. SEO fields on every title are what turn a catalogue into pages worth indexing.
Consistency in Vodlix comes from records rather than from retyping. Categories live in the Categories Manager, cast and crew in the Artists Manager, and curated rows in Content Lists; each one exists once, and every title picks from it. Maturity levels, content rating tags and MPAA ratings work the same way. Because a genre is a record and not a word typed again on each title, a filter or a genre row returns everything it should. Shared records are what keeps a library coherent once it outgrows what anyone can remember.
In Vodlix the metadata is part of publishing, not a pass afterwards. The editor that takes the video — uploaded, pulled from a public URL or pointed at an existing HLS manifest — is the same one that holds the descriptions, the categories and cast, the SEO fields, and the Thumbs and Logo tab where portrait, landscape and logo artwork is set with a preview of where each appears. A title goes live already described and illustrated. Details can also be pulled from The Movie Database or drafted with Vodlix Intel, so the first version of a record is rarely a blank form.
