Content lists in Vodlix are shared across every screen. Build a row once in the CMS and it appears in the same order on web, mobile and TV, in the living room and in the pocket. There is no separate merchandising per device. This means a promotion arranged once reaches every viewer at once, and the home page stays consistent wherever it is viewed. One set of rows, everywhere, is what keeps merchandising manageable.
Manual and Dynamic Content Lists
Vodlix content lists come in two kinds. A manual list holds exactly the titles you choose, in the order you set, which suits launches, campaigns and editorial collections. A dynamic list fills itself by rule, pulling every title in a category or carrying a tag, sorted in default order or by most recently updated, and stays current with no maintenance. Either kind can also be set as a Top 10 row, which shows its titles with large rank numbers. Both kinds are managed in the same place and can sit side by side on the home page. Seasonal Rows Without Rebuilding
Every Vodlix content list has an active flag, so a seasonal row can be switched off and brought back later with its running order intact. A holiday collection, a sports season hub or an awards row does not have to be rebuilt from memory each year; it is deactivated and reactivated. Lists can also be controlled through the API. Seasonal merchandising without rebuilding is what makes recurring campaigns cheap to run.
